BAFTA-award winning genealogy programme Who Do You Think You Are? is set to return to BBC One for a 15th series this summer, starting Wednesday 6 June.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas, comedian and Not Going Out star Lee Mack, singer Marvin Humes and Paralympian Jonnie Peacock will all trace their lineage in the popular programme.

Broadchurch actress Olivia Colman and Our Girl star Michelle Keegan will also have their own episodes, with Keegan’s kicking off a very special programming initiative called Hear Her on the broadcaster to celebrate the centenary of woman getting the vote.

Also among participants are “Judge” Robert Rinder and Boy George, all uncovering connections they would have never once considered.

The eight celebrities will travel around the world on their journeys to unearth secrets of their ancestors and piece together their family tree.

Former Coronation Street actress Keegan uncovers a special connection to Suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst while Colman’s exploration takes her all the way to India.

Mack’s investigation leads him to the frontline of World War I, with a connection through his great-grandfather.

BBC Commissioning Editor Fatima Salaria says: “The enduring appeal of Who Do You Think You Are? is set to continue as BBC One broadcasts a huge host of names.

“We’re particularly honoured to launch the series with Michelle Keegan’s episode which uncovers her special connection to Emmeline Pankhurst, as part of the BBC’s Hear Her season. This is must see TV at its best.”

Who Do You Think You Are?, produced by Wall to Wall, will air on BBC One this summer, beginning with Michelle Keegan on Wednesday 6 June at 9pm on BBC One.
